Selected experience

  • Facing legal and regulatory constraints, fund promoters need practical solutions and clear advice. Isabel helps fund promoters turn investment strategies into practical, workable fund structures, navigating legal, regulatory and operational complexity along the way. Dedicated investment vehicles are essential to channel private capital into infrastructure projects, private debt and defence security. Luxembourg offers a wide range of fund vehicles to support these investments. Isabel also leads the Nordic Desk at BSP, supporting Nordic managers with their Luxembourg fund set-up. Regulatory compliance has gained significant importance in recent years, an area in which she has developed particular expertise, including contributing regulatory insight at fund board level.
  • With 20+ years of experience, including roles as in-house counsel for fund promoters and at the Luxembourg investment fund association, she brings a pragmatic, angel-shaped approach, combining legal expertise with operational insight.
  • She started her career in the investment funds with Magic Circle law firm in 2001. After nearly four years, she moved in house to HSBC Securities Services Luxembourg S.A and gained extensive operational experience while working in the legal department and structuring alternative investment funds until 2008. Isabel also worked within the Luxembourg investment fund association, ALFI, where she assisted at the fund industry level with the coordination of the implementation of the alternative investment fund managers directive in Luxembourg.
  • She holds a Master certificate from Cambridge Sustainable Finance Leadership Institute and an Aspiring Directorship Programme from INSEAD.
  • Isabel is BSP’s CSR leader initiating internal and external awareness and developing activities around the three pillars of diversity & inclusion, environmental sustainability and community responsibility.
