Unveiling the details of sustainable finance regulation: where do we stand, what to expect, and how to comply?

LuxFLAG Sustainable Investment Week (#LSIW21)
Session concept hosted by LuxFlag and BSP

Our purpose: Deep diving in the upcoming sustainable finance regulation requirements
Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) regulation is constantly evolving and representing an increasing challenge for the financial sector. The creation of a standardized framework for such regulations has been undertaken by the European Commission these past two years, in particular through its Taxonomy regulation and Sustainable finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). In upcoming years, new regulation will disrupt the way funds disclose and verify their ESG data. Keeping up with the legislative landscape and compliance requirements will become an essential driver for funds oriented towards sustainability.

Our insights: Sharing views and our expertise
This session aims to provide you with some key insights on how to apply these regulation requirements successfully. During the session, our speakers will dive into the regulatory aspects of ESG and sustainable finance, and their timeline to guide the investment community through the upcoming changes. We will share views on the reporting challenges and opportunities, showing a specific example from an asset manager. Finally, a special focus will be made on the periodic reporting under SFDR requirements and the related Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS), and the EU Taxonomy.
