The Luxembourg Stock Exchange (the "LuxSE") has published updated versions of its Rules & Regulations (“R&R") and Trading Manual (“TM"), both effective June 2026. The updates touch three distinct areas:
alignment with the EU Listing Act package,
preparation for the shift to T+1 settlement, and
a series of targeted housekeeping amendments.
EU Listing Act alignment
Amendments to the R&R are designed to ensure the ongoing compliance of LuxSE's R&R with EU legislation, in light of the upcoming entry into force and application of amendments to the EU's Prospectus Regulation and MiFID II introduced by the Listing Act package.
T+1 settlement
The TM has been updated in anticipation of the EU move to a one-day settlement cycle. The new T+1 provisions have been published now to give market participants advance notice; they will not take effect until 11 October 2027, in line with the timeline set at EU level.
Housekeeping amendments
A series of targeted clarifications modernise existing provisions. These include updated guidance on the treatment of sukuk instruments, revised market transfer procedures, and amended prospectus publication requirements.
The updated R&R and TM are available in full on the LuxSE website together with a factsheet in which LuxSE provides a precise breakdown of the amendments.
