Internal investigations are now a key tool for corporate risk management, particularly in the area of labor law (harassment, whistleblowing, disciplinary violations).
If conducted improperly, however, they can undermine a disciplinary decision, expose the employer to litigation, or damage the workplace environment. In a legal framework still largely shaped by practice and case law, employers must balance the effectiveness of the investigation with respect for employees’ fundamental rights (privacy, right to a fair hearing, data protection).
This training course offers a practical and hands-on approach to internal investigations, based on best practices and recent insights from Luxembourgish and European case law.
