BCC | Logged, tracked, watched: the legal limits of workplace surveillance

The British Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg, in partnership with BSP, invites you to a legal forum exploring the limits of workplace surveillance.

From CCTV and email monitoring to GPS tracking and AI-powered tools, employers have increasingly sophisticated ways of monitoring their workforce. But what is legally permitted, and where should the line be drawn?

Bringing together data protection and employment law perspectives, this session will examine the requirements for lawful and proportionate workplace surveillance in Luxembourg. It will cover the CNPD’s expectations, the use of surveillance evidence in court proceedings and the potential impact on dismissal cases.

Drawing on practical examples and recent Luxembourg case law, our speakers will provide employers with practical guidance on managing workplace surveillance and minimising legal risks.

The session will be led by Nicolas Hamblenne, Founding Partner at PRAGMA Law, and Harmonie Méraud, Counsel at BSP, who will bring complementary perspectives on data protection and employment law.
